2016 Subaru Impreza WRX STi S207: The Short Throw

Why is it, the Japanese get all of the cool JDM muscle? It’s saddening, of the 400 Impreza WRX STi S207s being built,   with 100 of those NBR Challenge Package Yellow Editions, none are seeing U.S. shores.

Sure 323 horsepower, which is a boost from the U.S. spec’s 305 and a bunch of carbon fibre bits, steering and suspension upgrades, Recaro seats, BBS wheels, and other nifty design tweaks are somethings that can be done with your standard Impreza, but I’d like to see one of the factory built models stateside. It’s almost like the bosses at Subaru are looking to make their U.S. Subie fans jump to the Evo fan club.

Maybe that was a strong statement, but it’s always aggravating to know that we might not ever see one stateside. Maybe, one of the 400 lucky owners will bring their example to a local car show. Maybe one of the 400 lucky owners, is an American and will get his imported to the states. I don’t know, but I do know one thing. If you want one of 300 S207s, you have until March 6, 2016. Want one of the 100 yellow editions? You have until November 30, 2015.
