10 of the Best Halo Cars Ever Built

The term “halo car” is used to describe a car that is the face of the brand. The car might not sell in high volumes but it basically shows off what a brand can do if they wanted to. Kind of like a, “I could do this all-day, everyday if I wanted to” situation. Traditionally, the label “halo car” is applied to high performance cars, like the Ford GT (as one extreme) and the BR-Z (as another extreme).

Another point to designing a “halo car” is to attract a new audience. Usually, these buyers are younger, and have drooled over cars like the GT and the BR-Z. What’s the odds that the guy at 26, who buys a BR-Z, won’t buy an Outback when the need is there? Or how about the guy who drools over a Corvette, won’t stumble into a Chevy dealer and buy a Camaro or Malibu?

So here’s a list of a few of the best halo cars in recent memory. Before I begin, check out The Car Files Store, for apparel from The Car Files!
