6 Trucks With a Hint of Luxury

Whenever you think of the word “truck,” the first few words that come to mind are rugged, tough, work-horse, towing and hauling. Those are general characteristics of the pick-up truck and while the trucks on this list still fufill the general purpose of a truck, they also fit a few other amenities into the bunch as well. This list is comprised of the trucks that can move anything from your new washer and dryer to your summer vacation mobile home. Names like “platinum” and “limited,” take these stuff movers from “ashy to classy” without compromise. Basically, these trucks are the rancher’s dream.

With all of that being said, I went on to each of the manufacturers websites to custom build each of these vehicles. For the most part, each of the trucks were optioned out. All of these will be 4×4, standard box, leather seat crew cabs and have the infotainment systems as standard. Not to mention, this is explaining the sheer price of these vehicles, so most of the options would include rear seat entertainment, the most potent engine and transmission combo, and the other standard luxury amenities.

So without further ado, here are “6 Trucks With a Hint of Luxury”.

Ford F-Series/Super Duty Platinum/Limited

The most expensive truck on my list is the F-450 Super Duty. With a base price of $77k, the F-450 is already pricey. Add-ons like the FX4 Off Road package and the heavy duty suspension along with a slew of interior and exterior add-ons push the F-450 a tick above $80k. With that being said, the F150 Platinum Super Crew with the 5.0L V8 started at $54K and the Limited Super Crew with the 3.5L Ecoboost V6 started at $60.

Ram Mega-Cab Limited

The Ram 3500 Mega Cab (with the 6.4ft box) Limited with the 6.7L Cummins diesel starts at $71k. Once you add in a lot of the towing oriented options, the Ram 3500 can reach $75-76K, which is still short of the based F-450. A comparable 1500 Ram, will run you about $56-$57k and a comprable 2500 Ram, will run you about $70k should you opt for the diesel.

Chevy Silverado High Country

Starting at $56K, the Silverado 1500 High Country Crew Cab started in between the price of the F-150 Platinum and Limited trims. Once I added the 6.2L V8, the 22″ wheels, and a rear seat entertainment system, along with a slew of dealer installed accesories, this Silverado broke $68k. With that number in mind, the starting price for the 3500 Silverado High Country Dually with the 6.6L Duramaxx was already $68K.

GMC Sierra/SierraHD Denali

The GMC Sierra Denali is the pinnacle of the luxury truck, in my personal opinion. The base Sierra 1500 Denali with the 6.2L Ecotec 3 V8 and 4WD started at $59K which was the second lowest on the list. Once I added on the “Denali Ultimate Package” which includes the sunroof and 22″ wheels, which was also the best all included package of all the trucks on this list, the price jumped to $65k. When we go to the Sierra 3500HD, the base was $67k and the optioned out price was $71k.

Nissan Titan XD Crew Cab Platinum Reserve

The Nissan Titan XD Platinum Reserve with the crew cab and diesel engine started out the highest of my my non-dually models, with a starting price of $63k. Once you add in the $2000 entertainment system and a “Bed Tent” (the most unique on the options list) the turns your Titan’s bed into a “sturdy, level sleeping area,” and other minor accessories, the Titan XD Platinum Reserve can reach $67k.

Toyota Tundra Crex Max 1794 Edition

Of course, I had to go with the 1794 edition Tundra. I have had several encounters with this trim level Tundra and it just so happened to be the cheapest on my starting price list, at $50k. Add-ons include, 20″ KMC Rockstar wheels with Nitto tires, an aluminum polished billet grille, and Borla dual exhaust, the Tundra I built maxed out, a tick under $60k. $59k to be exact, making the Tundra the best bargain.
